When we started 20 years ago, personalized, comprehensive, post-treatment medical care for breast cancer survivors did not exist. Today, thanks to your help, Back in the Swing is more than Retail Therapy! In our first decade, we met our goal of establishing model programs of personalized medical care for Kansas City’s breast cancer survivors in communities across America:

Our first grants provided the seed funds to establish and test models of survivorship programs in our hometown, Kansas City:

now the gap in care is being filled across the country…
That all changed in January 2015 when the American College of Surgeons (ACS) began to roll out requirements that a Survivorship Care Plan and survivorship support be among the standards of care for hospital cancer programs to receive accreditation.
